Quite simply because there is none whilst all around I see nought but Solidarity and Support for Palestine and Gaza in particular. Not that I oppose such, I myself support the struggles of the Palestinian Peoples but, on a World Stage, not least in the British Isles I see massive support across all levels of society within and other existing 'Nation States'. Not least even amongst the 'small nations' and 'minority peoples' themselves, there is such support, worthy enough but what about their closest 'Minority Peoples' and 'Small Nations', who like they are denied their 'National Rights' and 'Self Detirmination and, who are victims themselves of Tyrrany and Oppression, Land Expropriation and Natural Resources Exploitation. I thus find it very strange that Welsh Nationalists in particular who are as a 'Minority People' and themselves involved in struggles for National Rights and Self De-dirmination, do not extend solidarity and support beyond Palestine and Gaza!

In the past I witnessed a 'Welsh Left' that had little sympathy for 'Small Nations' and 'Minority Peoples', unless of course they become 'Flavour of the Month'. Unbelievably as it may seem there is a quite large school of Welsh Nationalism, mainly 'Cymru Cymraeg' Cultural and of Religous Roots of pacifist mind that will follow the accepted 'Left Road' as to where they sympathies should lay for most of the time.

Thus they have supported such campaigns as against Apartheid, which I also supported but as far as the causes of the Irish or Basques et al they would avoid. In this direction support for such causes in Wales lay with a kind of 'Unholy Alliance' between an Anglo - Welsh Left and usual 'Left' or radical Welsh Republican/Nationalists as in example of 'The Troops Out Movement'.

I was not involved in such myself, largelly due to circumstances of being otherwise engaged but, in the 'Sixties' I supported the 'Black Power' and 'Native American' Struggles as well as campaigns for 'Language Rights' and Self - Detirmination in Quebec and Flanders in particular. In later years I have supported and helped campaigns in a limited way for same rights in the Baltic Countries and Occitania.
